More Minis for the Art Deco Project:

Members continue to work on the their Art Deco style houses. At the last meeting our workshop coordinator Liz shared some really nice fixtures and appliances made using various methods. A UV resin and light were used to give the paper sinks the look and texture of porcelain. A tiny fridge was made from layers of paper with a layer of balsa around the door. The toaster and elegant staircase were made using a 3 D printer. Since glass block was a common element found in Art Deco homes, she explained the fairly simple technique used to make a beautiful faux glass block picture window. Windows were made using a piece of hardware cloth, spray painted white and UV resin applied to the squares to give it the look of thick glass block. She used a silicone pad to prevent the resin from sticking. Thanks Liz for all these pointers.
